Langtry is a small unincorporated community in Val Verde County, Texas, United States. It is located near the Rio Grande River and is approximately 60 miles west of Del Rio. The town was named after Lillie Langtry, a British actress who was once the paramour of King Edward VII. Langtry is best known for being the home of the Judge Roy Bean Visitor Center, a popular tourist attraction dedicated to the legendary "Law West of the Pecos" judge. The town has a population of around 40 people and is a popular stop for travelers exploring the west Texas desert.
